Keywords Wiki

The keywords for cases have been assigned to help users search the database. They do not necessarily indicate that a particular form of publication misconduct has occurred because they have also been applied to cases when editors raised concerns about ethical problems that turned out to be unfounded. Therefore the keywords should not be regarded as an indication of how often particular types of publication problems occur or a judgment on a specific case.

The outcomes of earlier cases (especially those reported before 2007) and details of follow-up actions were not routinely reported and are therefore unavailable. Wherever possible, for recent cases, we endeavour to report follow-ups and outcomes and we encourage anybody who submits a case to provide this information.
